Job Description

  • Drive and shape cost out portfolio for four business divisions under ES EMEA in line with business cost out targets
  • Identify cost out opportunities in different products and systems through benchmarking, teardown, competitor analysis and study of applicable standards
  • Coordinate with Global stakeholders and Drive project execution through Design, testing and implementation phase
  • Collaborate with Should Cost team, Category team, SCM to define portfolio of projects for the region
  • Build profit plan for ES EMEA cost out year over year and build 3-5 years roadmap
  • Build Active and funnel project deck for all the divisions
  • Drive multiple idea generation events like benchmarking, teardown, competitor analysis and study of applicable standards
  • Redesign existing parts or design new concepts; meeting customer requirement, cost target and Market related technology
  • Performs project management role from design to implementation; communicates expectations, plans, and requirements and also coordinates all work within the scope of assigned projects
  • Lead multiple projects/programs/teams related to value analysis and value engineering (VAVE) through execution of these programs/projects in a timely manner, supporting the business goals and Profit Plan objectives
  • Create Intellectual Property documents (IPs) around new product design concepts / ideas and drive innovation from ideation through to execution
  • Develops test plans in accordance with IEC/UL standards. Creates test object requirements, plan for assembly and finalize test parameters & instrumentation. Responsible for conducting tests by ensuring deployment of standard practices. Assesses test results, root cause analysis through test findings/failures and takes corrective/preventive actions
Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical or Electrical
  • Minimum 15+ years experience on electrical products
  • Strong Experience in Mechanical Design and hands on experience in Electrical product development life cycle including requirements management, design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification testing. Hands on experience on building cost out portfolio and execution.
  • Strong Drive for result. Cost out process adherence.
