Assistant Manager Supply Chain (Social) for Cotton Industry

Job Description

A leading MNC Cotton company ishiring Asst. Manager Supply Chain (Social)Key Accountabilities:
• The incumbent will help in implementing social conducts in the gin as per Industry standards and regulations and ensuring the Companys social conducts standards(REEL Code of Conducts).
• Work closely with the line Manager to develop the work plan for the gins social standards and support in implementation of the work plan to standardize the gins as per REEL codes and required standards in the gins.
• Support in developing IEC material, reports, trackers and work on issues related to migrant labor, child labor, human rights to maximize impact.
• Act as a supply chain representative and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the full compliance on social conducts in the gins.
• Able to Track all ginning social compliance.
• Work as per the Supply chain SOP for various suppliers for the season for the organic or REEL cotton programs.
• Work with the teams to facilitate the functioning and plan with various projects, ginners, and supply chain partners to make sure that the requirements are well monitored and met in terms of social compliances and well and quality of cotton including the flow of reports & communications.
• H/She takes the responsibility of overseeing, linkage activities and procurement of cotton, planning, scheduling, inventory management, mapping with different stakeholders of the Cotton / textile supply chain.
• Communicating with ginners connected with projects and updating them on availability of cotton at appropriate time.
• Support to get the ginners and supply chain partners compliant with the various certifications / Code of Conducts (Organic, REEL etc.).
• Training the various stakeholders on social compliance related to HRDD and HSSE in Gins
• Verification of documents of all stakeholders specially ginners of supply chain at least once in a season and internal audit.
• Shall support supply chain events/workshops etc.
• Supporting commercial development and business development team, whenever there is a need.
Desired Skills:
• At least 5 years experience of working in a cotton/textile supply chain role
• Experience and understanding of farm, ginning, and social activities along with textile traceability.
