Medical SuperintendentJob Title: Medical SuperintendentExperience: 10-20 YearsIndustry: Healthcare / HospitalsLocation: Delhi NCR/Chandigarh/Lucknow and RanchiAbout the Role:We are looking for an experienced Medical Superintendent to oversee the clinical administration, governance, and operational efficiency of the hospitals medical services. The role involves supervising medical staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare quality standards, managing doctor deployment, and driving high-quality patient care. This is a leadership position responsible for coordinating clinical teams, ensuring adherence to protocols, and maintaining medical records and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:1. Medical Administration & Staffing:- Conduct and facilitate orientation programs for new medical recruits including Registrars, Residents, Junior Consultants, Medical Officers, and Ward Doctors.- Ensure appropriate deployment and posting of doctors based on departmental needs and patient load.- Manage call duties, on-call rotations, rosters, and leave balances for all medical staff.- Lead doctor scheduling to ensure optimal manpower planning and uninterrupted medical services.- Oversee doctors health checks, personal records, credentialing, and documentation compliance.2. Training, Development & Performance Management:- Coordinate doctor training programs in collaboration with the Training & Development department.- Facilitate periodic evaluation and performance reviews of doctors.- Monitor discipline, adherence to service rules, and professional conduct among all medical staff.- Support continuous clinical skill development and orientation on new medical protocols.3. Quality, Compliance & Governance:- Play an active role in all clinical quality initiatives within the hospital.- Ensure compliance with NABH, JCI, and other regulatory standards across medical departments.- Enforce adherence to hospital policies, SOPs, clinical guidelines, and safety protocols.- Maintain custody of medical records, patient files, and clinical data for both OP and IP departments.- Support and participate in departmental clinical audits, quality checks, and accreditation processes.4. Clinical Operations & Coordination:- Collaborate closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure smooth patient care delivery.- Monitor departmental performance, identify deviations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.- Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.- Ensure effective communication and coordination among all medical teams for seamless operations.5. Data Management & Reporting:- Oversee and support clinical data collection, analysis, and reporting.- Ensure timely submission of statistical reports, compliance documentation, and medical audits.- Use data insights to identify performance gaps and recommend improvements.6.
