Procurement Contract Manager

Job Description

Role Overview:Essar Constructions India Limited (ECIL) is seeking a qualified and experienced professional in Contract & Procurement function at Essar Constructions India Ltd in Odisha. As part of the role, you will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, cost management, procurement process, quality assurance, compliance, collaboration, reporting, and market research in the Civil Construction material sector.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for Civil Construction material ( Steel , Cement, Aggregates, RMC , etc.), equipments, and services at the best possible cost & terms aligned with project requirements.- Identify, evaluate, and qualify potential suppliers, build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, and coordinate with Client for vendor approval to ensure quality and timely deliveries.- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service level agreements.- Implement strategies to reduce procurement costs, including competitive bidding, price negotiation, and value engineering.- Oversee the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including requisition processing, obtaining quotations, preparing purchase orders, and expediting deliveries.- Ensure that all purchased materials meet quality standards and specifications as per project requirements.- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, relevant regulations, and safety standards.- Collaborate with engineering, finance, operations teams, and other departments, including external clients, to ensure seamless execution of procurement activities.- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance, including cost savings, supplier performance, and risk mitigation activities.- Stay informed about industry trends and pricing changes in the Construction material sector.Qualification Required:- Proven experience in procurement / Contract for 6-10 Years, in Civil procurement, ideally within the construction or infrastructure sector.- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.- Experience with SAP / ERP systems and procurement software.- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Qualifications: BE Civil(Note: Any additional details of the company were not provided in the Job Description) Role Overview:Essar Constructions India Limited (ECIL) is seeking a qualified and experienced professional in Contract & Procurement function at Essar Constructions India Ltd in Odisha.
