REFRIGERATION & AIR CONDITIONING TECHNICIAN1. JOB PURPOSE:To provide skilled work in the installation, repair, operation, and maintenance of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (AC) equipment and systems at various outlets of the Group.2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Repairs faulty Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment and Plant. Carries out preventive maintenance of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment and systems. Requisitions for materials required for the smooth operation of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment. Carries out routine checks and logs of the status of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment. Assists in verification of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning spares purchased/supplied.3. MAJOR ACTIVITIES Refrigeration & Air Conditioning TechnicianEnsure that the Air Conditioning system is ON at the right time.Trouble-shoot Air Conditioning equipment malfunctions, diagnose problems and perform maintenance on Refrigeration & Air Conditioning equipment.Manage the safety of the Air Conditioning Plant rooms and outletsMake recommendations to replace equipment if expected cost to repair exceeds possible replacement cost.Make minor installation decisionsPerform regular cleaning of the equipment.Maintain job worksheets detailing nature of assignment, parts utilized, time expended and type of work performed.Collect data for reports.
