Job Description

    a) Graduate in Electronics Mechanical engineering (must have)b) Postgraduate in Mechanical engineering (preferred)Work Experience:

    1. Area of Experience: hands-on experience in design and development of products in the field of automobile/White goods/ appliances/ lighting . (Lighting is preference)
    Job Description:-
    1. Main purpose of the role:Continuously bringing in products and solutions in the Light segments from an idea of requirement (range extension, successor design, cost engineering or customization) to a solution that meets the same.
    2. Reporting Structure:This position reports to the Product Planning Development lead
    1. Key Responsibilities
    The position needs a high level of Technical skill and creativity, networking ability and adaptation and absorption ability in a cross functional environment.The position works very closely with Cross functional Peers like Quality, SCM & Sales and Marketing.Interacts with quality teams for Risk assessment during product development /manufacturing and validating productContributes in preparation of VPH and CTQ for lighting segment products along with Sales and marketingInteracts with design team (driver and Light Engine), Evaluates, and gives feedback on compatibility and adaptabilityUnderstanding customer requirement, converting to technical spec, working out the alternative concepts & Developing those concepts along with suppliersResponsible for bringing new Innovating ideas for lighting products .Responsible for development of new products based on marketing road map , process, Tooling, Acceptance criteria, Test method for all new product along with DocumentationResponsible for Maintaining details of existing product portfolio and evaluating /implementing changes/up gradation using change procedureImplementing mid to long term product roadmap & technology road map for lighting products.Finds creative solutions for specific product interdependencies with long term implications for product design/ product development, serviceability, production facilities etc.Has command on relevant technology, feasibility of component/module /, manufacturability and application. Resolves technical issues in team and with suppliers
    1. Technical / Functional Competencies:
    • Knowledge of Product design &Development
    • Knowledge Lighting manufacturing process.
    • Knowledge ofSheet metal , plastic , Al die casting and Al Extrusion
    • Knowledge of design process like FMEA , Product map , Process map, QFD and other process
    • Knowledge of Electronic manufacturing ( EMS ) is added advantages
    • Knowledge in Designing thruSolid Works and AutoCAD
