Job Description

As a member of the software development team at Vector Consulting Group specializing in Product Development, you will be responsible for various stages of the software development life cycle. Our products are utilized by leading enterprises across India in Retail, Consumer Products, Automobile, Textile, Engineering, and Construction domains.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Test Execution:** Perform manual testing on web applications to ensure they meet functional and business requirements.- **Test Case Design:** Create, review, and maintain test cases and test scripts based on functional and business requirements.- **Bug Reporting:** Identify, document, and track defects/bugs using test management tools. Collaborate with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot issues.- **Regression Testing:** Conduct regression testing during each release cycle to ensure existing functionalities remain unaffected.- **User Acceptance Testing (UAT):** Participate in UAT and assist stakeholders in understanding test results.- **Test Documentation:** Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, cases, and results. Provide regular reports on testing progress and outcomes.- **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and ensure quality standards are met.- **Continuous Improvement:** Participate in retrospectives to improve testing processes and methodologies.**Skills and Qualifications:**- **Testing Tools:** Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Quality Center, or similar test management tools.- **Technical Skills:** Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing.- **Attention to Detail:** Strong ability to identify issues and inconsistencies within software functionality.- **Analytical Thinking:** Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically about testing scenarios.- **Communication:** Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document defects and collaborate effectively with team members.- **Team Player:** Ability to work collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum development environment.- **Methodologies:** Understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and testing life cycles (STLC).**Experience:**- 3-5 years of experience in manual testing with a proven ability to design and execute test cases.**Education:**- UG: BTech / B.E/ BSc/ BCA in Any Specialization.- PG: MTech / MS/ MSc (Science) / MCA in Any Specialization.Please note that the Job Location is Thane, and this is a 5-day work from office role. Compensation will be based on qualification & experience.,
