Reporting to the Development Manager, as a Sr. DevOps Engineer you will be will be responsible for driving the migration to a DevOps culture including automation and orchestration capabilities across the organization. You will partner closely with software development and infrastructure delivery teams. Additionally, you will be building and supporting CI/CD platforms, driving environment build-outs, supporting software builds and releases, contributing towards automation solutions, and upkeep of environments and systems.Responsibilities & Deliverables:Your deliverables as a Sr. DevOps Engineer will include, but are not limited to, the following:Lead in the execution and development of key projects and initiativesWork cross-functionally with teams overseeing application development, infrastructure setup, data administration, and security hardeningOwn the expansion and maturation of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelinesGuide implementations in and transitions to public cloud platformsGrow out administration and monitoring systems for streamlining product/platform health status updatesDesigning and developing automation templates and tools for infrastructure provisioning and configuration change managementUnderstand and participate in Finastras Agile development life cycle, from inception to maintenanceContribute to the systems design processResearch and experiment with new technologies, tools and development techniques, sharing findings with the teamServe as a mentor to less experienced team members on best practices and new technologiesRequired Experience:6+ years of relevant experienceBachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field is preferred.Hands-on experience with Public Cloud Services (Azure/AWS/GCP); Public Cloud certification is a plusExperience with scripting in a language such as Power-shell, Python, JavaScript, or RubyHands-on experience designing, implementing, and consuming container-based application services (Kubernetes, Docker)Hands-on experience with one or more of the following (Octopus, Jenkins, Git, Jira, Confluence, Octane)Experience in supporting a globally distributed product development organization from a DevOps perspectiveExperience architecting solutions that can adapt and scale to dynamic business requirementsBackground in network or storage design and administration is a plus.Broad knowledge of Cloud-Based, and On-Prem DevOps tools and methodologiesHave an Automate Everything mindset to support scalable growthPrior experience with CI/CD automation systems (Octopus, Azure DevOps/VSTS, Jenkins, etc.)Understanding of web infrastructure elements (servers, load balancing, software proxies)Familiarity with SQLFamiliarity with Agile software development methodologiesAbility to prioritize and provide strategic inputExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a passion for working in highly collaborative environments.,
