Job Description

    Ensure assigned purchase orders are processed with proper terms & conditions and within university policy & proceduresResponsible to the Purchasing Manager for the procurement of supplies and/or equipment for all departmentsReceive and interview vendor representatives to keep abreast of developments, negotiate prices, service, quality or other mattersIn conjunction with the Purchasing Manager, develop and investigate new sources of supply, make recommendations as to their approvalMaintain effective liaison with all departments to present alternatives offered by suppliers, modification of design, standardization of parts or material, or other matters of mutual concernWork from/with engineering requests for components for new programsObtain quotes, negotiate with vendors, source items with vendors, follow and expedite deliveryCreates, maintains updated product/vendor informationAssists departments in defining purchasing needs and resolving associated problemsActs as back-up in the absence of the Purchasing ManagerIn reference to your job application that we have viewed on a job-site, kindly send your resume/CV to us via hidden_email
