Job Description

    As a HAZOP and PSSR Representative in the CSM Agchem department of the company, your role involves assisting the Process Safety Lead in preventing and mitigating process safety incidents. You will be responsible for establishing formal methods to review manufacturing operations, processes, plants, and projects to identify process hazards, eliminate or minimize hazards, assess risks, identify measures to reduce risks, and investigate process safety incidents.**Key Responsibilities:**- Identify and propose objectives and targets in the areas of Process Safety- Identify concerns for implementation of Process Safety control measures at various stages of the Product life cycle and across the organization- Suggest safeguards for risk reduction measures to acceptable levels- Support tech transfer and production team by implementing Corporate PSM standards and procedures- Ensure smooth planning and timely conduct of HAZOP verification & pre-startup safety review (PSSR)- Train employees and business associates in sustainability practices arising out of sustainability projects**Qualification Required:**- A Graduate Degree in Chemical Engineering- At least 3-5 years of experience in process safety- Industry experience in Agro Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, or Fine ChemicalsYou should have a good understanding of standards and codes on Process Safety, CCPS, and applicable NFPA guidelines. Additionally, you must possess knowledge and understanding of data from Process tests involving DSC, RC, TSU, and material safety data related to Dust explosion, MIE, Powder Resistivity, Layer ignition, Ignition sensitivity, and Explosion severity. Familiarity with tools of Process Hazard Analysis like HAZOP, FTA, ETA, What-if analysis, and Risk Assessments is essential.Your interaction will primarily involve internal stakeholders such as Plant operations, Process development, tech transfer, Capital projects & Engineering, Corporate, and PSM Regulatory for process safety-related discussions. Occasionally, you may need to engage with external parties like Safety consultants/associations in the field of PSM and process Risk assessment for related matters.,
