Job Description

Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and local regulations.Maintain and update safety systems and internal procedures and monitor regulatory changes and ensure proactive compliance.Conduct safety audits and stay updated on regulatory developments. Perform regular safety patrols across the company, head office, and branches; report and follow up on corrective actions.Develop and test emergency response plans for supply chain operations, including major accident scenarios.Partner with department leaders to communicate safety goals and performance.Design and deliver safety training programs aligned with company and local standards.Implement and manage the permit to work system; train relevant personnel, Heart & minds, road safety programs, responsible related to safety.Identify and assess operational safety risks. lead cross-functional mitigation strategies and build organizational capability.Lead Safety Pillar planning and alignment across company and non-company sites.Stay current on standards and audit plans; benchmark best practices internally and externally.Evaluate effectiveness of safety systems and provide improvement feedback.Lead investigations into workplace incidents and near-misses; implement corrective actions.Liaise with safety authorities for reporting, permissions, and compliance.Ensure accurate reporting and tracking of incidents, accidents.Manage safety budgets, implement the plan and monitor and report as required.
