Analyzes specifications and controls continuous operation of petroleum refining and processing units. Operates control panel to regulate temperature, pressure, rate of flow, and tank level in petroleum refining unit, according to process schedules.Pump System Operators, Refinery Operators, and Gaugers Controls the operation of petroleum refining or processing units. May specialize in controlling manifold and pumping systems, gauging or testing oil in storage tanks, or regulating the flow of oil into pipelines.
