Job Description

Primary Purpose: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Flavoured Milk / Retort Processing Operator to join our team. As a Flavoured Milk / Retort Processing Operator, your main responsibility will be to organize and supervise the manufacturing activities of Sterilized Flavoured Milk.Key Accountabilities/Activities:
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform overall cleaning of the crate washer, packing machines, milk cold room (MCR), and section to ensure hygiene and sanitation standards are met. Follow proper cleaning protocols and maintain equipment in good working condition.
• Manpower Management: Manage and deploy manpower effectively in the section. Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) by the team.
• Packaging Material Management: Maintain proper housekeeping of packaging material, ensuring availability and proper storage. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment.
• Quality Control: Conduct frequent checks of weights, leakages, and pouch sizes to ensure product conformity. Implement quality control measures and promptly address any issues or deviations.
• Crate Cleaning Supervision: Oversee the cleaning of crates before filling milk pouches, ensuring proper cleaning procedures are followed and adherence to hygiene standards.
• Stacking and Inventory Management: Ensure proper stacking of packed milk crates in the MCR at designated places. Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with dispatch and processing sections to pack the required brands and quantities.
• Documentation: Fill packing log sheets accurately and thoroughly during each shift, documenting relevant information such as production quantities, quality control checks, and equipment maintenance.
• Task Execution: Perform all assigned tasks and duties as directed by senior personnel, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Coordination: Collaborate with the dispatch section and processing section to coordinate packaging requirements and quantities.
• Poly Film Stock Management: Maintain an adequate stock of poly film in the section to ensure uninterrupted production. Coordinate with the procurement team to restock as needed.
• Roll Management: Ensure proper management and control of rolls at all machine heads. Monitor roll changes, adjustments, and replacements to maintain smooth operations.
• Personal Hygiene: Adhere to personal hygiene standards, including wearing appropriate protective gear and following good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Work Relations:Internal:
• Reporting to production manager for all Functional as well as administrative purposes.
• Second level reporting to COO
• Interface with Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, Procurement, Engineering teams
• Interface with HR Teams- Plant HRBP, Facility Teams
Qualification:Essential: ITI / XII / GraduateExperience:Essential: 5 to 7 Years in Operations & Maintenance of Multi Purpose Packing Machines
• Knowledge of packing machines and equipment used in butter, ghee, and curd cup packaging is essential.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and ability to conduct checks on weights, leakages, and pouch sizes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning, maintenance, and packaging processes.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping purposes.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards and willingness to adhere to them strictly.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Basic understanding of inventory management and stock control.
Work Environment: 24 X 6 (6 days a week)Shift Details: General Shift. (09:00 AM 5:30 PM)
