Mentoring and ownership for specific project of expertise and responsible for multiple projects under defined area. Prioritizing assignments and setting milestones in a changing environment. Coordinating inter functional activities and identifying process/characterization /solution to solve with a technique of expertise or strategy planning to provide solutions to R&D problems. Lead and direct the execution of multiple R&D assignments of novelty and complexity and requiring development of new or improved process/strategy/characterization Lead and facilitate coordination with technical and management staffs with manufacturing, Engineering, process development and Quality for their respective projects Evaluate and plan analytical and statistical reasoning to set up novel test units or customization of infrastructure to effectively address unique requirements for manufacturing or Business functions Lead and coordinate Interface with R&D and business leaders for competitor material analysis, global / local benchmarking and IP landscaping, prepare and execute test strategies. Evaluate and approve propositions for outsourcing of the tests/ out of scope activities of Lab in the respective areaEducation Requirement : PhD in Science/engineering/related areaExperience Requirement : Minimum 10-12 years of research experienceSkills & Competencies : Review and evaluate master plans, protocols and reports for facility planning for new programs Review and Approve Infrastructure planning, outsourcing, procurement Review and approve the SOP prepared by the technologist Mentor deliverables for result correlations using the core expert area of the individual Review, evaluate and release solutions for customer complaints and direct the process of deliverables Should have handled planning, execution and management of cross-functional and interdisciplinary tasks as a team lead or project lead.,
