Job Description

    Job Summary: The Maintenance Head is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within the reclaim manufacturing facility. This includes ensuring that all machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and operate efficiently. The role involves planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance activities, managing a team of maintenance personnel, and implementing effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency in the production of reclaim products.Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Planning and Management: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for reclaim manufacturing equipment. Oversee the maintenance of all plant facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and utility systems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices. Team Leadership: Lead, train, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and support staff. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance and support to team members. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork within the maintenance team. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues in reclaim manufacturing equipment. Coordinate and perform timely repairs to minimize production downtime. Ensure the availability and proper management of necessary spare parts and tools. Budget and Resource Management: Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, including labor, materials, and equipment costs. Source and procure necessary maintenance supplies and equipment. Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Vendor and Contractor Management: Liaise with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services. Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Monitor and evaluate the performance of external service providers. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and maintenance schedules. Prepare regular reports on maintenance performance, including downtime analysis and cost tracking. Implement and utilize maintenance management software for efficient record-keeping. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in maintenance operations. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in maintenance technology. Lead initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and extend the lifespan of assets.Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Industrial Maintenance, or any degree a related field. Proven experience in a maintenance leadership role, preferably in a reclaim manufacturing or similar industrial environment. Strong knowledge of maintenance management principles, including preventive maintenance and reliability-centered maintenance. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Effective leadership and team management abilities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
