Job Description

    RoleOperational ExcellenceReporting toLead Operational ExcellenceWork LocationCorporate Office, VadodaraQualification & ExperienceB.E / B. Tech (Chemical) with 6- 10 years of experienceKey Responsibilities (indicative not exhaustive) Identify improvement areas and thereof provide the most appropriate remedial measures for continual improvement in the plant operations. Support and coordinate with site TS team to monitor processes and schemes, identify and implement improvement opportunities. Evaluate new technology with site-TS team on the techno-commercial benefit of the same. Partner with R&D & corporate process engineering team on process development/ change of process initiatives. Standardize common practices followed across all sites. Technical review of capex documents before forwarding to senior management. The activities performed by the incumbent include:Process engineering:Evaluate the present processes for the efficiencies and yields and plan for the improvement with conceptual facilitation to the corporate process engineering team/DRDC/Site-TS. Evaluate and recommend the adoption of advances made in the pertinent technologies, equipment, processes etc. Doing and checking technical calculations for projects like scaleup, tech transfer, new technology introduction and others. Environment and safety:Assist the site team for technical inputs wrt the process safety. Assist the site team for technical inputs to improve ETP performance. Identify solutions and evaluate them technically to provide support for problem solving in the environment and safety. Standardization:Facilitate standardization of equipment, processes, procedures & methodologies, engineering standards etc. Develop COEs (Centre of Excellence) for various unit operations and processes practiced at various locations. Review:Review critically wrt performance the Capex / Improvement recommendations suggested by teams and forward for the peers approval. Checking the equipment design wrt deliverables and suggesting appropriate technology to have continual improvement. Critically review the PDS generated for the equipments that is being procured under process improvement /Capex proposals and suggest the changes wrt technology and design. Co-ordination:For the process initiative identified, regular follow-up with all the concerned department about progress. Wherever required, provide necessary support to all the concerned department to speed up the initiative. Close follow up and review of the commissioning trials till meeting the pre-determined & agreed upon user acceptance criteria. Data analytics to identify improvement opportunities in current operations and utilities.,
