Job Description

    we required QC engineer (transformers) industry for our company ATLAS , Por, VadodaraJob SummaryThe Quality Control (QC) Engineer in the transformers industry is responsible for ensuring that all transformer products meet the required quality standards and specifications before they are released for distribution. This includes monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, performing tests, analyzing results, and working closely with the production and engineering teams to address any quality issues. The QC Engineer will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the manufacturing process.Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance and Control: Perform in-process and final inspections on transformers to verify adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products for quality, identifying defects or non-conformities and ensuring corrective actions are implemented. Conduct various tests on transformers, including dielectric strength, insulation resistance, high-voltage tests, temperature rise tests, and mechanical strength tests. Review and approve quality-related documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and material certificates. Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving: Investigate defects, failures, or deviations from quality standards, identify root causes, and work with the engineering team to implement corrective and preventive actions. Perform failure analysis, conduct failure mode effect analysis (FMEA), and ensure that appropriate corrective actions are taken to prevent recurring issues. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspection results, test reports, and quality checks for each transformer or batch produced. Prepare detailed quality reports, documenting any non-conformance, deviations, or issues, and provide recommendations for improvement to management. Ensure that all documentation is in compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., IEC, ANSI, ISO). Collaboration with Production and Engineering Teams: Work closely with the production team to ensure quality standards are followed throughout the manufacturing process. Provide technical support and guidance to the production team on quality control practices, troubleshooting, and resolving quality issues. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure that design changes or improvements meet quality standards and do not impact performance or safety. Calibration and Maintenance of Equipment: Ensure that all measuring instruments and testing equipment are properly calibrated, maintained, and operating within specifications. Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule regular calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment. Compliance with Standards and Regulations: Ensure that transformer products comply with national and international quality standards (e.g., IEC, ANSI, IEEE) and regulatory requirements. Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and regulatory changes that could impact the quality of the product. Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies. Contribute to process optimization, cost reduction, and increased efficiency without compromising quality.Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 2-4 years of experience in quality control or testing in the transformer or electrical equipment manufacturing industry. Experience with testing, inspection, and quality control in manufacturing environments is highly preferred. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of transformer manufacturing processes, materials, and performance characteristics. Knowledge of industry standards (IEC, ANSI, ISO) and testing procedures for transformers (e.g., high-voltage tests, dielectric tests, and insulation resistance testing). Proficiency with quality control tools and techniques (e.g., root cause analysis, FMEA, SPC). Familiarity with testing and measurement instruments (e.g., megohmmeters, hipot testers, temperature rise equipment). Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work. Good communication skills, with the ability to document and report findings effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
