Job Description

    Primary Purpose: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RMRD Shift Chemist to join our Bankai Agrifood Team. As an integral part of our Raw Milk Reception and Dispatch (RMRD) department, the RMRD Shift Chemist will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our dairy products.Key Accountabilities/Activities:Quality control shift chemist
    • Testing of incoming, In-process and finished products
    • Assessment and supervision of plant sanitation and hygiene.
    • Preparation of laboratory Reagents and chemicals.
    • Periodic checking of product packing.
    • Supervision of RMRD activities.
    • To do all the jobs assigned by seniors time to time.
    • Quality clearance of in-process and finished products.
    • Acceptance / Rejection status of incoming milk
    • Release/ hold status of process equipments and activities.
    • Issue of material from stores.
    • Testing of liquid milk as per the SOPs provided for temperature, acidity, alcohol, preservatives, neutralizers, fat, CLR SNF, MBRT etc.
    • Testing of packed milk for shelf life
    • Re-testing of the samples especially outside purchases and MCCs.
    • Maintain the hygienic condition in the department.
    • Co-ordination with production, packing /RMRD departments.
    • Maintaining the lab equipments/Glasswares/Chemicals records.
    • To maintain all records as per ISO & HACCP.
    • Periodic checking of product packing.
    • Quality clearance of in-process and finished products.
    • Acceptance / Rejection status of incoming milk
    • Release/ hold status of process equipments and activities.
    RMRD Clerk
    • Carry out weight calibration of milk weigher daily, before incoming of milk, in both the shifts
    • Record milk quantities on RMRD reports during milk weighment of each supplier.
    • Issue milk receipts to the milk supplier after each reception.
    • Cleaning of RMRD after milk reception.
    • To do all jobs assigned by the seniors from time to time,
    • To prepare entire reports after the reception is over.
    • To prepare sour milk report and adulteration report.
    • Any Increase or decrease in the milk quantity has to be checked and reported to procurement departments.
    • Coordination with production and QC departments.
    RMRD Chemist
    • Carry out the calibration of EMT before the incoming of milk.
    • Calibration of EMT after each 40-50 samples.
    • Preparation of all RMRD reports after the reception is over along with the RMRD clerk and submitting it to the Accounts Department.
    • To resolve the problems of company-owned centers,
    • To supervise the organoleptic evaluation of milk in cans.
    • Sampling and testing of milk for fat/CLR/SNF/COB/Alcohol/presence of adulterants have to be ensured.
    • Whatever the problems of centers relating to fat has to be taken care off
    • To do all jobs assigned by the seniors from time to time.
    Work Relations:Internal:
    • Reporting to Quality Assurance Officer for all Functional as well as administrative purposes.
    • Second level reporting to COO
    • Interface with Production, Quality Control Team, Maintenance, and Procurement teams
    • Interface with HR Teams- Global Head HR, Plant HRBP, AVP-Group HRBP for manpower planning, and all other employee life cycle issues
    • Interface with Accounts, Finance, and Facility management teams.
    External:
    • Interface with various suppliers, regulatory agencies, Service Providers, Customers
    Qualification:Essential: M. Sc. / B. Sc.Experience:Essential: 5 to 7 Years experience in testing of Milk & Milk Products
    • Strong knowledge of dairy processing and quality control standards specific to the dairy industry.
    • Experience in testing and analysis of raw milk and dairy products, including knowledge of testing methods for parameters such as fat, acidity, SNF (Solid-Not-Fat), CLR (Chemical Lactometer Reading), etc.
    • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instruments used in the dairy industry, such as milk analyzers, pH meters, refractometers, etc.
    • Understanding of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards and their application in the dairy industry.
    • Knowledge of microbiological testing methods and procedures for monitoring milk and dairy product quality.
    • Experience in maintaining accurate records and documentation related to quality control activities.
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the dairy industry.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate and precise testing and analysis.
    • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, packaging, and quality assurance departments.
    Work Environment: 24 X 6 (6 days a week)Shift Details: General Shift. (09:00 AM 5:00 PM), Shift might rotate
