Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the effective implementation of LOTO, contractor safety, work permit, Forklift safety and other world class best practices.
  • Develop & Implement site specific safety policies, procedures and programs in alignment with corporate and BU programs
  • Develop & Implement site specific safety policies, procedures and programs in alignment with corporate and BU programs
  • Develop and devise implementation plans for health, safety & environmental training.
  • Identify and develop control plans for hazards which exist at the site.
  • Interact with regulatory agencies as required to maintain compliance with all applicable standards Recordkeeping
  • Interface with Corporate Legal, Environmental, Safety, Medical, Risk Management & Security groups
  • Establish site wellness initiatives and programs
  • Prepare & Implementation of safety Manual
  • Facilitate all accident and incident investigation.
  • Actively participate in the activities carried out regarding the safety in the concerned area.
  • To organize safety committee meetings
  • To check the legal compliance with respect to health and safety.
  • To impart Safety training and EHSS induction training programs.
  • To investigate the cases of industrial diseases contacted and dangerous occurrence
  • To Organize campaigns, Competitions, Contest and other activities to develop and maintain the interest of th employees in establishing and maintaining safe conditions of work and procedure
PSM Responsibilities:
  • Support in Process Safety Management (PSM), Process safety information (PSI)
Process Risk Assessment (PRA)/HAZOP
  • Improving Competency of employees and assure understanding and compliance with Process Safety Management standards and local Process Safety Requirements.
  • Participate in Pre-Startup Reviews (PSSR S) prior to startup the new or modified processes or equipment or after extended shutdown of Equipment.
  • Actively Participate in all the KAVACH Implementation related Initiative at site
Educational Qualification:
  • MSc /BSc (Chemistry) BTech / MTech (Chemical) with Diploma in Industrial Safety from a reputed org
  • Relevant certifications in Environment, Health & Safety will be preferred
Experience: Minimum of 20 years of experience; experience of having led mid-large-scale projects in pharma/life sciences research industry is desirable ,
