Job Description

Designation- Consultant Mainframe Modernization SeniorMainframe development experience of 10 + Years with at least 3 years of experience in Mainframe Modernization. Should have worked on both Online and Batch technology. Good verbal and written communication along with business /pre-sales skills. Should be aware of the latest developments and tools in the mainframe world. Should have the drive to learn and work on POC projects.Experience on below tools will have weightage:

  • Mainframe DevOps tools: DBB, GIT, UCDz, Jenkins etc
  • Mainframe Analysis tools: IBM ADDI, Cast, Application Analyser, MF Enterprise Analyser, BluAge etc
  • Data replication and change data capture: IBM Infosphere, IBM DVM, Kafka, Syncsort CDC etc.
  • Mainframe REST API development using Zos-Connect, GT Ivory, Rocket Software
  • Lift and shift using RainCode, Heirloom, Microfocus, TmaxSoft etc
Responsibilities-
  • Review Architectural Solutions & Decisions
  • Mainframe Migration planning and execution
  • Ideation, Design, Develop and Implementation of POC and Accelerators
  • Mentoring and competency development
  • Client and Stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of and hands on experience with the Mainframe components such as CICS, REXX, IMS DC, DB2 performance tuning and Stored procedures, Data warehouse deliveries, JES, Schedulers, RACF, should be hands on with Rdz/Idz
  • Knowledge of and hands on experience with common mainframe languages such as JCL, COBOL, PL/1, Natural, Assembler, IMS, IDMS and others
  • Knowledge of and hands on experience with 1 or more non-Mainframe languages such as .NET, Java, Python, Web Technologies, Thick Clients on Distributed platforms and integration with legacy technologies etc.
  • Knowledge of and hands on experience with CM tools such as Changeman, Librarian, Endevor, File handling tools such as FileAid etc. on Mainframe and TFS, GIT and/or others
