It may not be for every role, and, as part of the recruitment process, you ll have the chance to discuss smart working and how it might work for the job you are applying for.About this roleThe role holder will be part of the India F&OE Operational Analyst team that has responsibility for multi-operational functional support across all IT teams and their activities to deliver the IT delivery portfolio. Core responsibilities for the team and the role will include the development of clear and simple analysis and insight across critical operational processes (e.g. purchasing and billing CoE s, core operational data management etc) whilst also having responsibility for executing and optimising these processes and their outputs to support IT and its teams delivering their operational commitments to their customers and stakeholders.Youll have the following responsibilitiesSupport standardising and subsequent optimisation of core operational processes (typically billing, purchasing, forecasting etc) that support delivery of the IT portfolio of commitmentsDetailed analysis and production of insightful operational MIS and KPI s across core functional processes to support proactive and pre-emptive effective management decision makingProduction of (including development of automated opportunities) reporting data and information in response to operational, financial, commercial and audit/ regulatory requirements across key performance lensesDevelopment and roduction of cyclical and ad hoc operational analysis and specific insight across any number of operational disciplines (planning, forecasting, performance, data modelling) to inform senior management decicion making and policy settingEnsuring compliance to regulatory, audit and legal requirements typically including purchasing, vendor/supplier commercial relationships, financial frameworks and local/national/international governance e.g. Bangalore SEZ commitments .Youll have the following skills & experienceSkills required for the jobExpert knowledge of BT & EE s finance, procurement and operational systems and processes to manage all data flows, inputs and outputs associated with Bangalore F&OE team responsibilitiesKnowledge of key IT output and operational measures to be able to turn high volumes of disparate data into clear and easy to understand summaries, recommendations and insight to drive senior and operational decision makingData first mindset and fully competent to manipulate disparate data and sources to provide insight and information including recognising opportunities to automateAbility to challenge and think outside of traditional process and operating models blending technical, operational and commercial considerations to shape decision making and recommendation submissionsGood communicator capable of engaging and influencing operational teams when discussing specific operational subjects and data both inside and outside of immediate interfacing stakeholdersExcellent IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, data modelling and experience of business/continuous improvement methodology and practices `Experience you would be expected to haveMandatoryExperienced operational candidate capable of operating across all core and supporting processes with detailed understanding to produce clear management information to inform performance and decision making.Excellent knowledge of BT s financial and operational systems/processes, at a minimum Clarity, iBuy and Markview systems and Group Approvals processesSharepoint administrationAccurate and detailed data analysis and subsequent clear insight and recommendation summarisationAble to confidently articulate process failures/waste hotspots and contribute to redesign and optimisation interventions including establishing permanent process and system fixes.Desirable Deep understanding of the IT build & run lifecycle across Technology and external vendors supporting c4,000 underlying apps and infrastructureExperience of working across multifaceted opertational teams and deep knowledge of core and supporting BT/Technology operational processesContiuous improvement qualifications and/or experience such as Six Sigma, Lean etc.About BTBT has a key role in British society, fostering change and leading technology innovation.
