Job Description

Affirmed Networks virtual evolved packet core (vEPC) solution offers mobile network operators the agility and flexibility necessary to keep up with traffic demand, to scale their networks and deliver differentiated services tailored to specific use cases such as: Consumer, IoT, private LTE , Wi-Fi, GiLAN, VoLTE, CUPs, fixed wireless, edge compute and 5G services. Affirmed Networks is recognized as a leading vEPC vendor.As part of the team, you will be working on exciting technology, both proprietary and open source in a virtualized environment.In this role, you will be responsible for Testing and automating of various features of GGSN/SGW/PGW for the Affirmed Networks Mobile Content Cloud product.If you have experience in one or more of the areas below, you are encouraged to apply for the position:GGSN/SGW/PGW QA

  • Analysing the Requirements
  • Participating in preparing Test Plans
  • Preparing Test Data s and Test Environment to execute the test cases
  • Reviewing the Test Cases prepared by other team members
  • Executing the Test Cases and Raising defect giving mandatory information of a defect to developers in order to fix it
  • Automating the test cases using TCL, Python and other scripting languages
  • Executing the automation regression release on release and raising defects if any
  • Good understanding of Test process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Status Reporting in timely manner and highlighting any risks/issues
,
  • Bachelor s/Master s in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in QA in EPC domain and automation
  • Experience with testing high quality software suitable for use by telco and enterprise customers
  • Experience with Highly Available systems
  • Good debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in working on Unix/Linux environment.
  • Familiarity with Virtualized environments
  • Ability to drive technical decisions across teams
  • Passion for quality with customer focus
Experience in any of the following skills will be an additional asset:
  • DPI/NAT domain expertise preferred
  • Knowledge of UMTS/CDMA wireless architecture for data services.
  • Knowledge of LTE architecture Nodes: MME , S-GW/PGW
  • Mobility/session management protocols, GTP and other network mobility protocols.
  • Knowledge of AAA protocols such as DIAMETER and RADIUS and experience developing applications using these protocols.
