Job Description

    Working in Application Support means youll use both creative and critical thinking skills to maintain application systems that are crucial to the daily operations of the firm. Youll work collaboratively in teams on a wide range of projects based on your primary area of focus: design or programming. While learning to fix application and data issues as they arise, youll also gain exposure to software development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement, in addition to production lifecycle methodologies and risk guidelines. Finally, youll have the opportunity to develop professionally and to grow your career in any direction you choose.This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
    • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
    • 8+ years Mainframe Application support / development experience. BS or MS in Computer Science highly desired
    • Knowledge on Investone / EDA Enterprise preferred.
    • JCL, CA-7, VSAM. MQ, DB2 - Advanced
    • COBOL, CICS, Intermediate
    • File Aid, Endevor, NDM, MFTS, s-FTP, XML, CLIST, REXX Intermediate
    • Strong desire and skills in identifying and implementing automation opportunities.
    • Strong interpersonal relationship and communication skills
    • Strong technical documentation skills
    • Strong problem solving skills and decision making ability around complex problems
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Effective listening skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent analytical and Trouble shooting skills
    • Must be able to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while balancing competing priorities
    • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
