Job Description

    • Sound (Conceptual and practical) knowledge on Insurance and Insurance Investments Accounting.
    • Good understanding on the various Investment types (like Bonds, Equity, Derivatives etc).
    • Good understanding on the Investments GAAP FASB (ex. For US GAAP FAS115) and how the accounting happens under GAAP/ US Statutory reporting.
    • Good understanding on the Investments Income recognition (ex. Understanding on how Premium and Discount works for Bonds).
    • Understanding on the General Ledger (ex. SAP). Preferably working knowledge on the SAP running various reports and analyzing the data from SAP
    • Good knowledge on MS Excel and Access data base (preferable).
    • Basic working knowledge on tools like Bloomberg and Reuters etc. (preferable)
    • 1 to 2 years of CA/CWA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent professional qualifications is preferred and experience in Insurance/Banking investments accounting and reporting.
    • Com or M. Com equivalent Accounting/Management degree with 2 to 3 years of the relevant experience in Insurance/Banking investments accounting and reporting.
    • Experience with application of US GAAP / Local STAT (NAIC) accounting is preferred.
    • Clear/critical thinking, excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
