Description:KEY SKILLS: 1. Expertise in Design & develop Electric Machines using Software Tools like Motor CAD/Manual Calculation/Ansys Maxwell/Altair FLUX. 2. CAD modelling of motor components. 3. Electric machine analysis, design, and optimization of: BLDC, IM, PMSM (surface mount), IPM motors & new technologies. 4. Electromagnetic analysis of motors.JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the Design & development of motors for EV traction application. 1. Thermal analysis of e-motor. 2. Analysis and validation of designs with FEA calculations in both 2D and 3D. 3. Characterize machine performance for basic sizing and performance estimations using analytical tools. 4. Trade-off studies to identify motor topology. 5. Contribute in customizing tool sets for motor analysis. 6. Close cooperation with internal development departments, customers and suppliers. 7. Internal and external presentation of project results. 8. Support of acquisition work in the field of electric motor development. 9. Design and testing of electric motor for current and future Simple vehicles. 10. Electrical engineering focus on the electromagnetic motor design. 11. Analysis and optimization with equations and FEA on thermal and mechanical modelling. 12. Ownership of components from concept, design, testing, validation, and production release and support. 13. Collaboration with supply chain, vendor and manufacturing engineers. 14. Continuously evaluate new technologies and design improvements to develop the most power dense, efficient, low cost, and reliable electric motor. 15. Sizing of Electrical Machines for 48V and other Voltage EV traction Motor applications. 16. E Motor RFQ Handling-Product selection. 17. Benchmarking of Electrical machines for Electric Vehicle applications 18. Developing EV Motors along with PD team. 19. Responsible for Motor controller development providing necessary electric machine data for the Controller development. 20. Failure analysis of Development. 21. Testing and performance evaluation. 22. Documentation of motor design.IDEAL PROFILE: EDUCATION : ME/M.Tech/Ph.D. in Electric machine / Drive design 1. Experience in Motor design engineering field. 2. Strong Theoretical Knowledge in Electric machine sizing and design. 3. Excellent capability in design and analysis of electric machines required. 4. Proficiency in 2D and 3D magnetic FEA required. 5. Proficiency in electric machine design programs required. 6. Proficiency in thermal and structural FEA preferred. 7. Very good knowledge of e-machine control methods, implementation, and test. 8. Very good familiarity with power electronics and inverter hardware layout. 9. Experience in detailed analysis, feasibility studies, performance analysis and prototyping. 10. Rotor position sensor selection and Design. 11. Rare Earth/Ferrite Magnet selection. 12. Machine Simulation Results Vs Actual (>95%). 13. Basic understanding of Mechanical Design of Motors. 14. Adherence to Product specifications. 15. Benchmarking of Special Features for Cost and Performance Enhancement. 16. Experience in performance and durability testing electric machines. 17. Experience in a manufacturing plant for electric machines. 18. Adherence to time plan. 19. Very good knowledge of Motor Testing Standards. 20. Very good knowledge of Global Electrical machine design standards. 21. Excellent people skills and has a history of teamwork. 22. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. 23.
