The candidate will demonstrate that software or software components fulfils its intended use when placed in its intended environment (real or simulated). Candidate will work as a Software Architect with sound knowledge of software design, development, and test methodologies.SOFTWARE Designer: As a Software Designer he/she will interface with system, program, and quality teams to meet commitments for quality, cost and delivery and will execute following responsibilities:Define, review and validate the software specification and develop software.Participate in project estimation and planning.Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.Contribute to standardization by reusing existing solutions or by implementing reusable solutionsApply organization processes and standardsEDUCATION: -Bachelor/Postgraduate in Engineering IT, CS, ECE & EEE or Equivalent BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES: - Be Innovative and demonstrate to peers and implement in development of software products and components and model-based developments - Demonstrate excellent communication skills and able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrix organization. - Team Player TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE: - 3 to 6 years of experience in Software Design and development - Excellent knowledge and experience in C on Linux and Codesys (Or any Programmable Logic Controller) programming- Experience of any configuration management tool like ClearCase etc.- Knowledge of any bug reporting tool like Bugzilla ,Clear Quest etc.- Knowledge in Railway Signalling Domain is an added advantage- Exposure to Embedded application development is an added advantage.LANGUAGE & SKILLS: - Proficient in English language - Good written and Verbal communication skillsAlstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow s mobility.
