About Network InfrastructureThe mission of the Network Infrastructure (NI) Business Group is to be the most trusted partner for the world s most critical network infrastructure. NI will respond to the ever-increasing demand for networks with higher capacity, greater reliability, faster speeds, and lower costs.Job DescriptionWe re obsessed with engineering productivity and a lot is expected from our infrastructure or the site reliability engineering team. We re looking for a very solid infrastructure engineer who can maintain and enhance the build system of the Nuage Virtualized Services platform and will ensure quality and consistency of the builds generated by our continuous integration system based on Jenkins. The site reliability engineer would be responsible for the following:

  • Improve the development workflow, manage repositories on our Github enterprise instance
  • Maintain and enhance the automation infrastructure which consists of a datacenter environment with complex topology of Linux nodes, based on recent versions of distributions like Ubuntu Cloud, Red Hat Openstack Platform, Suse Cloud & XenServer
  • Maintain and develop the core infrastructure of Nuage engineering, provision new servers using Puppet, monitor the servers, develop integration scripts written in Python and Bash, and keep the whole environment secure
  • Work with engineering leads to develop testing platforms and methodologies in new areas of the Nuage platform
Job Responsibilities & Competencies
  • Good knowledge of networking and the datacenter setup
  • Worked on any cloud management system (CMS) like Openstack/Cloudstack
  • Experience on build and automation tools like Puppet/Ansible/Jenkins
  • In depth knowledge in Linux OS Redhat/Centos/Ubuntu
  • Knowledge of network protocols, virtualization and virtual packet switching is a plus
  • Excellent coding skills in Python
  • Experience with Docker/Container is an added advantage
  • Very comfortable with Git and the Github pull request model
  • Experience in building software and continuous integration
  • Ability to delve into pre-existing source code with little guidance and to switch context rapidly is paramount
