Job Description

DescriptionOpen Systems International, Inc. (OSI) www.osii.com is a fast-paced, growing, high technology company, headquartered in Medina, Minnesota. As a world leader in the Operations Technology (OT) field, OSI develops and supplies state-of-the-art energy management, optimization and control software solutions to energy utility companies worldwide.In this position - located in our ITPB, Whitefield, Bangalore, India office - you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and integrate, test and commission hardware and software requirements on customer systems.
  • Define project requirements through customer communication and communicate the requirements to other departments as necessary.
  • Provide networking and system/application design.
  • Perform hardware, software and system installation, integration and perform factory functional testing for SCADA, HMI and other related functionalities.
  • Customize system, hardware and network configuration based on customer requirements.
  • Project documentation and assist in creating training materials as needed.
  • Document and track progress of project activities and report any technical issues
, Requirements
  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems, display building, data base creation, commissioning and testing.
  • Knowledge of configuration of SCADA software packages, SQL database, ODBC and report generation.
  • Understanding of single line diagrams (SLD) of substations, I/O list.
  • Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP and routing principles.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of computer programming.
  • Proficient in MS office Excel
  • Knowledge of computer architectures, networking, databases and operating systems.
  • Ability to work on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment and complete assigned task with quality.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability and flexibility to travel to domestic and international customer sites.
