• Assess and engineer mainframe solutions for security of credentials and data on the mainframe.
• Define architecture of modernized mainframe environment including standardization and DevOps.
• Engineering and support of Firm Mainframe Security products and initiatives related to authorization (such as: RACF, TSS), encryption (such as: pervasive encryption) and authentication (such as: Kerberos, Digital Certificates)
• Leverage new technology features within new releases of security software products currently installed and integrate into our environment where advantageous.
• Interact with technology teams such as Systems Programming, DBA, CICS, MQ, etc. as well as provide user support.
• Post implementation validation of software/OS upgrades/patches
• Develop technical solutions to business problems based upon security best practice.
• Develop automation, tooling, reports, utilities, and batch programs
• Troubleshoot and track issue tickets with various vendors
• Participate in an on-call rotation and address questions/issues.
• Coordinate with Security Management team to review security proposals and assess technical feasibility

, *Required Skills

• College graduate with 10+ years related work experience on the mainframe
• Strong understanding of security concepts and technologies
• Strong knowledge of PKI and experience working with the implementation and support of digital certificates, Kerberos, SSL, SSH, etc.
• Experience with mainframe security software configuration/internals (IBM-RACF or CA-TSS)
• Experience with database technology (such as: Sybase, DB2 (preferred), SQL)
• Ability to program in at least one command Mainframe batch and reporting language (such as: CARLA, REXX, CLIST, SAS)
• Capable of working independently with limited oversight
• Good project planning, organization, time management skills and ability to multi-task
• MS Office business application experience (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be a team player and foster a team first environment and culture Desired Skills
• Experience with DevOps, JIRA, and Agile Methodology
• Experience with distributed technology (such as: UNIX, USS file systems)
• Knowledge of PERL, shell scripting, OpenSSL, SSH
• Prior experience as Mainframe Systems Programmer or Mainframe Network Engineer, or Middleware Engineer
