Job Summary:The Senior Solution Architect, D&T, Software Packaging supports software packaging and deployment in the organization to define, deliver and support D&T enabled business solutions. This role will also help support strategic direction, determine business needs and design & deliver technical solutions for application packaging, deployment and troubleshooting. This role has primary accountability for working on software packaging solutions including projects, system enhancement and production support in alignment with West D&T and company policies and procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Utilizes knowledge of best practices to define strategic direction, determine business needs and design & deliver application packaging and deployment solutions, doing so in partnership with Application and Infrastructure. This includes interpreting up to the most complex issues and recommending solutions or best practices. Create and maintain system lifecycle documents in accordance with West policies and procedures, including creation and maintenance of SOPs, SOIs and Job Aids. Design and Implement Change Control process. Manage workload for team Train and develop junior team members. Other duties as assignedEducation and Experience: 5-8 years of related work experience Bachelors degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent experience. Preferred but not required: Intune, Azure.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience in developing installation packages using one or more of the common packaging technologies. InstallShield and Windows Installer (MSI, MST and Custom Actions). Good Knowledge of Windows registry, interaction of drivers within OS and unattended/silent installs on Windows operating system. Good Knowledge of scheduling application push on to the client machines from SCCM console. Good Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies. Prepare relevant documentation such as known errors, solutions, major incident reports that will help in continuous improvement. Good knowledge on workstation patching using SCCM. Understanding of troubleshooting tools like Procmon, CMTrace, Dependency Walker, Event viewer etc. Suggesting on complex application issues and resolution. Must have 7+ years of experiences in Application packaging/repackaging, application deployment, testing and troubleshooting. Must be good in scripting language: PowerShell Scripting, Good to have: (VB Script, Batch Script). Must be able to meet SLA timelines. Good communication and documentation skills. Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team membersPhysical and Travel Requirements 10% travel, including global travel Occasional on-call work required Prefer 12pm 8pm India time. Willingness to work outside of these hours as needed.,
