For more information about us, please visit us at www.wdc.comJob-Title: Silicon Validation Engineer Experience in Pre-Si/Post-Silicon Validation and validation firmware development.Familiarity SOC Architecture and Design.Hands-on role must be comfortable with hardware, software, and lab test equipment.Develop Compliance and interoperability procedures across protocols.Post silicon bring up debugging, root cause the issues.Good C coding skills to develop the validation test cases.Participating in meetings and understanding/developing the Validation strategy.Technical Skills: C/C++ coding skill, Python experience.Oscilloscope /LA /Power Supply other embedded instrument handling without effort.Code tracing Through Debugger like lauterbach /T32/GHS / Opella/Diliglent/ ITP Emulation etc.Experience in any one of the Bus protocol USB/SATA/SAS/SDIOFull Knowledge on simple Embedded IPs like I2C /SPI /UART etc.Familiarity with IPC (inter processor communication), Message Queues, DMA, Timers, Watchdog Timers and other IPsFamiliarity with CPU architecture (ARM, ARC, MIPS), embedded systems desiredWorking Knowledge on FPGA and Presilicon Platform like Paladium/Zebu/VeloceGood to Have: Knowledge of Board hardware and SchematicSOC Development Flow -> Design to RTL and VerificationKnowledge in NAND (Controllers, Memories/DDR etc.)Embedded Protocol CSI/DSI/HSI/SPMIKnowledge of Java and Perl/TCL scripting.Preferred skills: Domain knowledge in StorageKnowledge in the protocol PCIE/NVMe protocol /SCSIRTOS experience (e.g. uCOS/ThreadX/Free RTOS/ Nucleus/ MQX/ VxWorks/ Embedded Linux)Knowledge of DDR/NAND Protocol and Commands Soft Skill Requirements:Decent at Written and Communication skills.Very good aptitude and analytical skillsA Quick LearnerA proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team with collaboration skillsAbility to troubleshoot and analyze complex problemsAbility to meet deadlines and handle multiple task under pressureAbility to document code and participate in code reviews.Worked in a Multinational companies across different time zones.Work-Location : BangaloreLegal Disclaimer WD is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind: WD is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
