Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) is an identity-based access control policy platform that enables enterprises to enforce compliance, enhance infrastructure security and streamline their service operations in any environment wired, wireless or VPN. Its unique architecture allows enterprises to gather real time contextual information from network, users, and devices to make proactive governance decisions by tying identity back into various network elements including access switches, wireless controllers, VPN gateways, and datacenter switches. Cisco ISE is a core component of the Cisco TrustSec solution and Ciscos DNA (Digital Network Architecture).What You ll DoThe Cloud Architect is responsible for leading the creation of a technology framework and providing technical leadership in support of initiatives in cloud computing and automation, with a focus on the design of systems and services that run on cloud platforms.The Cloud Architect will be responsible for ensuring that critical applications are designed and optimized for high availability and disaster recoveryBe a strong communicator, leader, and advocate for our customers. Deliver scalable and reliable business solutions to customers and partners.Write high quality designs that make sound engineering decisions across known and unknown interacting systems.Provide estimates and dependencies for engineering tasks. Deliver highly scalable and reliable software applications.Be able to lead all aspects of development including design, task allocation, implementation, testing, documentation, ongoing support and maintenance.Participate in the design and implementation of service automation, monitoring and observation and analyzing service telemetry.Review and provide feedback on features, technology, architecture, designs, time & budget estimates, and test strategies.Installation, configuration and development including work within a production environment for SaaS servicesWho You ll Work WithWork in partnership with other teams at Cisco, such as Product, Engineering, Sales, to produce high quality and specific requirements.Work directly with our customer to troubleshoot and understand their pain points.Work with Scrum master and team members to drive the estimates and dependencies for engineering tasks. Deliver highly scalable and reliable software applications.Who you areExperience in the design and development of cloud-native scaled out and distributed applications that leverage micro service architecture, REST APIs, SQL and NoSQL stores.Strong knowledge of system design, deployment best practices, scaling, monitoring & telemetry.Micro services development, deployment, and monitoringExperience building large scale, resilient distributed systemsDemonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability)Demonstrate knowledge of DevOps tool chains and processesAct as a Subject Matter Expert to the organization on cloud end-to-end architecture, including AWS, networking, provisioning, and managementDemonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and the why, and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendationMaintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, etc.Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud servicesContribute to DevOps development activities and complex development tasksDefine optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applicationsQualificationsBasic Skills:B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical degree12+ years of software and architecture experience in a technology-based company with 4+ years of hands on SaaS development experience in any public cloud environmentJava, Python or Go proficiencyDatabase Mongo dB or PostgresKubernetes, Docker or related technologiesExperience designing and implementing REST APIsSolid grasp of software engineering principles and practicesExperience with AWS and VMWare enterprise implementationsStrong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologiesStrong understanding of SOA, object-oriented analysis and design, and/or client/server systemsNice to haveCassandra, MongoDB, Elastic searchRabbitMQ, KafkaDrools/Activiti, and a range of open source libraries.Cloud telemetry and health management, experience in Grafana, Prometheus, KibanaCI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub, SonarQube, Locust etc.).Security and Networking experience,
