Job Description

SW Platform Build Tool Development EngineerLocation : Tech Center , Bangalore ( earlier Delphi Technologies) B.E/B. Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science/ELectrical/Software EngineeringExperience: 3-6 yearsPrimary functions Ensures the development and integration of Software Build Tools and the improvement or maintenance of existing build tools . Responsibilities

  • Analyzes Software platform requirements and develop solutions for builds activities
  • Support activities required for developing the Software Build Tools
  • Adapts the BorgWarner IT enterprise-wide tool landscape to the PDS business unit use case
  • Develops and monitors systems/software process metrics to verify/validate effective and usage of implemented tools
  • Aligns tool selection, development and configuration to optimally meet software development
  • Improves tool solutions based on lessons learned and evolving best practices
  • Develops customized build tool kits
  • Code generation, a2l file generation via scripts such as python, C# etc.
  • Works with platform customers to resolve build environment conflicts/struggles.
  • Test Automation support
  • Build definition customization
  • Mentoring and guiding team on build and release tasks
  • Nightly Build support through Jenkins
  • Reprogramming tools support
  • Word and Excel based templates generation support
SKILLSMandatory
  • Demonstrated build tools development and experience in delivering a build solution
  • Strong Experience with Perl, Python development, Jenkins
  • Experience using programming languages such as C/C or Java or C#
  • Knowledge on Xml tools and XML file creation
  • Knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL (Oracle/PL/SQL))
  • Solid understanding of code generators, parsers and other auto-generation tool methodologies
  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture, Configuration & implementation
  • Agile project management experience
  • Good written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills; effective working as a team member
Additional preferences:
  • Experience in data visualization/business analytics tools like Power BI/Tableau/Qlik
  • Experience with Requirements management or Application Lifecycle Management products like Polarion a plus
  • Experience with SCM tools such as Plastic SCM and Git, a plus
  • Experience with JIRA or other agile planning tools a plus
