As a backend engineer, He / She will be part of the engineering team responsible for building the backend software for Insights Services (IS) and Merchant Data Enrichment(MDE)The candidate will develop API s, functions and components needed for IS and MDE. They should also have potential to review, understand existing design and also do minimal design needed within API s and Functions. Candidate should also be familiar with unit-test frameworks for unit-testing.The candidate also should be familiar with build and deployment systems and should be able to interact with external team to build and deploy services.What He/She will do:Work closely with systems architects and Principal Engineers and develop backend systems.Follow standards, procedures and guidelines to improve the development process.Excellent knowledge of Java programming language concepts, JEE and SQL and NOSQLGood experience in Java technology frameworks including: Spring Boot, JUnit, JDBC, JPA and HibernateWhat you should have:4-5 -10 years of software engineering experience4 years hands on experience with Java2+ years of work with Unix/LinuxGood knowledge and experience with design patternsExperience in deploying microservices for high scale using various technologies: Docker/Docker Enterprise, Kubernetes, and Pivotal Cloud Foundry.Experience in cloud platform is added advantageExperience with developing microservices based, linearly scalable applications.Expertise with SQL (Oracle preferred) and NoSQL databasesStrong collaborator and experienced working in dynamic, global teams working with various Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).Strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsBachelors Degree (Master s preferred) in Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent experience,
