Job Description

*DepartmentRDI/TBPJob AreaPowertrain QualityMPR NoxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxQualificationBachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile) or Master s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Equivalent)ExperienceNo of Years: 5 to 8 yearsWork LocationBangaloreMandatory SkillsSpecific Knowledge:

  • Design Scope of observation: Powertrain with focus on combustion engine, transmission, GATS, axle
  • Preparing of FMEA activities based on development project requirements, taking into account the standard Daimler Truck FMEA Selection Analysis
  • Moderation and documentation of Powertrain FMEAs, including tracking of measures according to development project timeline
  • Review/update of Powertrain FMEAs with inputs from Failure Management and Change Management processes.
  • Independent meeting scheduling with the relevant business partner e.g. with engineering counterparts in development
  • Application of the current APIS IQ-FMEA software taking into account the currently valid FMEA VDA-AIAG manual
  • Application of the FMEA-MSR method
  • Implementation of supplier FMEA inspections and evaluation of these FMEAs based on standard Daimler Truck FMEA evaluation catalogue
  • Update of processes/methods/documentation
  • Ensure archiving and release of final FMEA documentation.

  • Theoretical and practical knowledge and experience in Design FMEA methodology
  • Strong knowledge of APIS IQ FMEA software
  • Technical background knowledge of the conventional powertrain available
  • Moderation competence
  • Strong analytical skills within complex relationships
  • Ability to think in a networked way
  • Very good organizational and communication skills
  • Fluent in English, German language skills helpful
