Truecaller is looking to augment it s most exciting Business Unit (BU), Truecaller Enterprise, with a VP / Business Head. This BU is Truecaller s latest foray into changing the way the world communicates by connecting businesses with their customers in an effective manner. Truecaller participates in billions of calls and messages between businesses and their customers, and this BU is responsible for adding value to that large an audience.The team is already 70 people strong, consisting of Truecaller veterans along with fresh talent, and is a focus area for the company going forward.What do we expect from you
  • Extensive experience managing large teams with diverse functions across product, engineering, sales, customer success & marketing with a specific focus on B2B offerings.
  • Experience in building products from concept, launching them in the market and scaling sales efforts.
  • Experience in partnering / collaborating with / selling to, Indian & International enterprises and startups
  • Experience or exposure to the CPaaS industry, especially in India.
  • B2B SaaS experience would be a huge advantage.
What will you work on
  • Set the vision, goals, pace & direction for multiple functions of a fast growing B2B business unit & drive consensus across levels. Essentially you are the CEO of the Business Unit.
  • Think out of the box. Drive the unit as a hyper growth startup within the larger startup that Truecaller is.
  • Give guidance to board / investors when required on high level aspects.
  • Help build products, plan go-to-market & monetise the reach and unique strengths of Truecaller on the B2B side to the best extent possible and at the same time ensure significant value addition to end customers.
  • Budgeting & forecasting ability even in times of uncertainty by building on existing visibility.
  • Derive strategy from the vision and empower the team to execute it with rigour .
  • Prioritise development while ensuring optimal balance between product, engineering and business goals.
  • Balance long term thinking without compromising on short term outcomes .
  • Attract top talent for relevant roles & keep the existing team motivated.
  • Coach the second rung of leaders & set developmental goals for key contributors.
  • Methodically build processes to help scale parts of the businesses that have hit product market fit.
  • Build relationships at senior levels with clients and channel partners that can be later leveraged for faster go-to-market, product validations, extracting optimal commercial value etc.
  • Plan expansions into multiple geographies where Truecaller is / will be in a position of strength.
  • Envisaging innovative business models for products that are new to the market.
  • Set KPIs & track the right metrics that will help measure progress at an individual and team level and continuously strive to improve the efficiency levels within each function.
  • Collaborate with multiple other business units and central functions like HR, Public Relations, Finance etc to realise Truecallers full potential on the B2B side.
  • This role reports to the Managing Director, India.
