Engages as a technical expert or trusted technical advisor to drive Intel value and differentiation in or across disciplines such as Enterprise, Cloud, Client, HPC, AI, Gaming, Graphics, Analytics, and/or Edge. Utilizes deep domain and market segment expertise to research, develop, and prototype software that leverages and drives adoption of Intel product capabilities. Evangelizes software tools and technologies to the ecosystem to enable and support Intel products. Responsible for leading application pre-enabling, product development, and/or product hardening to launch future products and provide customer support. May deliver collateral and training, including competitive/differentiated benchmarks, as well as may identify and drive key workloads into product requirements and landing zones for future product design, simulation, projection methods, and tools. Drives product improvements that minimize the need for explicit enabling and maximizes scale adoption. Detailed Intel is seeking Platform Application Engineer (PAE) to support DPDK based 5GNR L1 and transport protocol stack solutions running on the Intel Platforms. The candidate will support Intel provided software driver and higher level software and firmware. Duties will include: Act as consultants and provide support to third party product developers. PAEs help developers create or move their products to IA (Intel Architecture), achieve the best performance of their applications on IA. Creating demonstrations, benchmarks, and prototype applications on Intel Multicore Platforms. Prepare customer facing material in the form of Device Advisories, Application Notes, White Papers and PowerPoint presentations Serve as first technical point of contact for software integration Work as the technical bridge between the Intel and customer engineering teams Closely work with Intel development, marketing, program management and customer engineering team. Reproduce and report issues to relevant design teams for resolution, and create possible workarounds. Some travel to customer sites to deliver training and onsite integration support is required Work with other Intel Telecom Application groups to prototype and promote the best solutions for our customer base.Qualifications Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. /M.E. / M.Tech. / M.C.A./ MS in ( Computer Science, Networking, Electrical and Communication or other related fields). Experience: 2 to 10 Years Skills/Expertise required: - Good oral and written communication skills - Strong development and problem-solving skills - Datacom protocols (Ethernet, IPV4, IPV6, TCP/UDP, Application layer protocols), L2 Switching, Routing - Programming with C/C++ and Linux - DPDK, Virtualization - Data-plane packet processing on Network Processor, Multicore SoCs Or Intel Multicore platforms - Knowledge of the Microprocessor architecture and assembly language - Experience with cellular access technology, OS kernel, VM, container and device drivers. - Experience in developing 5GNR L1 testcases and issue analysis with knowledge of 5G specifications and functionalities. - Experience in system troubleshooting, testing, benchmarking, analyzing, and optimizing. - Good understanding of the Telecom Networks (3G, LTE,5G) , O-RAN, 5G-NR L1, Intel FlexRAN will be a big plusInside this Business Group The Network & Edge Group brings together our network connectivity and edge into a business unit chartered to drive technology end to end product leadership.
