As an AI Engineering Manager at UKG, you will play a critical role in leading a team of talented engineers to deliver high-impact complex projects. Your responsibilities will include:- **Technical Leadership:** - Possess expertise in AI, modeling, and LLM domain with hands-on experience in tools like looker, cognos, and other analytics tools. - Provide technical leadership and direction for major projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices. - Maintain a high technical bar, actively participating in design and architecture decisions, code reviews, and ensuring high standards of code quality. - Enforce engineering best practices such as documentation, automation, code management, and security principles.- **Team Management:** - Foster a culture of service ownership and enhance team engagement. - Drive succession planning and engineering efficiency, focusing on quality and developer experience through data-driven approaches. - Promote a growth mindset and drive organizational change, actively seeking opportunities for team growth and cross-functional collaboration.- **Coaching and Development:** - Grow and develop the team technically, providing actionable feedback and mentorship. - Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.- **Execution Excellence:** - Manage team workload and capacity, setting priorities, managing risks, and tradeoffs. - Align team efforts with the strategic direction of the company, demonstrating engineering excellence and service ownership. - Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across Product, TPM, Security, Cloud, and other teams.Qualifications required for this role include:- Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.- 8 years of experience in software development with a couple of years in AI and ML.- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role and 2 years in a people management role.- Experience in building and developing infrastructure or distributed systems.- Strong understanding of engineering best practices and service-oriented architecture.- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proven track record of managing high-impact projects and delivering results.Join UKG, where you will be part of a purpose-driven team that values your voice and supports your personal and professional growth.
