Job Description

As a Manager in Data Science at EC-Council, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the integrity, validity, and defensibility of certification exams on a large scale. Your primary responsibility will be to design and operate a data-driven exam integrity system using technologies like Splunk to detect, investigate, and prevent integrity risks. Your role will involve building systems that detect risk patterns, applying data science and analytical thinking to exam forensics, and connecting identity, behavior, supervision, and outcomes into transparent insights. You will lead a team responsible for high-volume session review and analysis, manage workload, quality, and SLA adherence, and build analytical and forensic capability within the team. Additionally, you will work across internal and external stakeholders to maintain integrity standards, collaborate with global teams and partners, manage relationships with proctoring and delivery vendors, and communicate complex findings clearly to leadership. **Core Responsibilities:**- Lead complex investigations into exam misconduct and integrity breaches- Design detection logic using Splunk and large-scale log data- Monitor candidate, session, and supervision risk profiles- Ensure exam outcomes remain statistically valid and defensible- Strengthen audit processes using structured, data-backed approaches- Build visibility into exam integrity through strong analytics and reporting**Qualifications Required:**- 812 years of relevant experience- Advanced hands-on expertise in Splunk (search, correlation, dashboards, detection logic)- Strong capability in writing and optimizing queries, working with large-scale log and event data, and building detection logic and analytical models- Strong analytical and data science orientation with proven forensic thinking- Proficiency in SPL (Splunk Query Language) and SQL, working knowledge of Python or similar scripting language, data visualization tools, and log analysis platforms/SIEM systems- Understanding of behavioral analytics and anomaly detection techniquesEC-Council is an equal opportunity workplace dedicated to providing equal employment opportunities regardless of various characteristics.
