Danfoss, a global leader in HVAC/R, Industrial Automation, and Motion Controls has an immediate opening for a Regional Sales Manager in its Food Retail business segment. You will be responsible for growing sales and market share across existing OEM accounts and generating new business with new accounts. Additionally, you work directly with our end users located in your region with end-to-end responsibility for sales pursuits. Key responsibilities will include working across all departments including senior leadership at our existing and new customers. Critical skills will include leveraging resources across the organization to secure opportunity wins.This position is for someone located in the Southeast of the United States - North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia or Florida.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Develop a comprehensive account plan for growth
  • Develop new business at existing key accounts
  • Develop new business at non-Danfoss accounts in their designated region
  • Support existing Account Managers in securing new business at their designated accounts
  • Develop relationships at C suite level with existing and new key accounts
  • Participate and engage in monthly business dialogue meetings
  • Communicate internally with all stakeholders on business requirements for growth
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining Danfosss value proposition
  • Manage P&L at key accounts
  • Manage and maintain a quality opportunity pipeline in Salesforce
Background & SkillsThe ideal candidate possesses these skills:
  • Bachelors degree in Business/Sales or equivalent experience
  • More than five years of sales experience
  • Strong business acumen
  • C-level management experience
  • Understanding of the Food Retail, Energy Management, and HVAC/R industries
  • Capacity to work with and through others in a matrixed organization
  • Salesforce or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Good command of the English language
  • Ability to travel up to 60 PERCENT
Salary Range DisclaimerThe base salary range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
