Job Description

    * Associate Consultant Team KPMG IMPACT is the accelerator for KPMG s global ESG strategy. The platform supports and empowers KPMG professionals as they assist clients in fulfilling their purpose, achieving their ESG goals, and supporting the world s attainment of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.The IMPACT & ESG Data Hub is a global Centre of Excellence for enablement of ESG data-driven solutions. The Hub utilizes public domain data, third party ESG data, web analytics, social sentiment data and KPMG knowledge to deliver insights and advanced analytics in ESG strategy, sustainable finance, climate risk, decarbonization, social impact and economic development. The Hub draws on these capabilities from a pool of experienced colleagues across KPMG.We are looking to hire an Associate Consultant who would support Global and KGS Data Hub Leads and help deliver ESG insights and analytics for our member firms and clients. The ideal candidate would be passionate about ESG and sustainability and would enjoy working in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Roles and responsibilities As an Associate Consultant in our team, you will be responsible, amongst other things for:
    • Delivering on analytics requests from KPMG member firms across the network
    • Learning about existing KPMG and KGS ESG data solutions and supporting subject matter experts (SMEs) in development of new ESG solutions
    • Working with the KGS ESG Data Lead on strategic priorities and assisting with execution of action items
    • Contributing to points of view, thought leadership, research reports and knowledge management to support practice development
    , * Qualifications and experience
    • MBA, master s degree, or bachelor s degree with relevant experience
    • Relevant experience (3-4 years) in ESG and/or analytics gained in strategy consulting firms, corporate roles, multilateral development organizations or similar experience in the relevant sector / propositions (as applicable)
    Technical skills
    • Experience with databases such as Refinitiv and S&P Capital IQ Pro Database for ESG scoring
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau
    • Highly articulate with excellent communication
    • Strong numerical, analytical, and strategic thinking skills, and sound business acumen
    The ideal candidate would be:
    • Dedicatedly handling ESG-focused engagements for at least two years
    • Having awareness and good knowledge of ESG-related frameworks such as SASB, GRI, CDP and TCFD
    • Able to perform materiality assessments and analyze ESG/sustainability plans of organizations
    • Able to identify and track key ESG metrics for companies, as well as perform benchmarking against competitors
    • Knowledgeable about emerging trends in ESG and sustainability
    • Good at collaborating with stakeholder groups to manage and lead communication and delivery
    • Detail oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Operating as an independent contributor and working as part of a team during larger projects
    • Have personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results within tight deadlines and demanding situations
    • Ensuring highest quality (for self and team members output) and on-time delivery for all the projects
