Job Description

    * Job Summary: The Image Sensor Group (ISG) at ON Semiconductor is looking for a Staff Product Engineer to work cross functionally with Marketing, Technology Development, Design, Quality Assurance, Pixel Characterization, Test and applications engineering teams. In this position, you will have the opportunity to involve the New Product Development (NPD) process from engineering perspective and drive new product introduction by taking sensors from design tape-out to mass production for consumer market. You will be responsible for researching product technical requirements, validating its performance characteristics, and developing an efficient and effective production test to make sure high standard quality commitment and high yield delivery. During NPD, multiple bench testing tools and equipment will be used to validate and characterize product performance. Strong debug skills are also required to help root-cause finding on product issues. The work environment revolves around the guiding principles of building success through respect, integrity, and initiative. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
    • Define product validation requirements by working with cross functional teams, including design team, DFT team and test engineers to translate concepts into tests.
    • Validate design features, debug initial silicon, determines root cause of problems, and drive for solutions
    • Collaborate with test engineers to develop an effective and efficient manufacturing test on ATE for mass production
    • Drive MP readiness with multiple engineering and operation teams
    • Participate in yield analysis, drive necessary improvement actions on silicon process, setting optimization, and testing robustness in order to improve yield to target
    • Collaborate with application engineers & customers to enable successful system design
    • Work with reliability engineers to achieve successful product qualifications
    • Failure analysis support for customer returned issue
    , * Requirements:
    • Bachelor s Degree in Electrical or Semiconductor Engineering related field; Master s Degree preferred.
    • 2-5 years on semiconductor industry experience
    • Good characteristic to work in a fast paced and highly dynamic work environment
    • Good understanding of CMOS imager sensor architecture and operation is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge in test development, statistical analysis, and product validation methodologies
    • Proficient in programming either C, VBA, or Python
    • Ability to drive solutions across multiple cross-functional teams, and the supply chain.
    • Relevant experience in introducing products into manufacturing, or high volume production a large plus.
    • Experience with lab equipment as Logic Analyzer, Oscilloscope usage at higher speed, thermal streams
    • Excellent communication in English
    • Willing to travel when required
