Job Description

    *Job Summary: Do you enjoy power electronics and want to be part of a winning research and development engineering team If so, then onsemi s Mobile, Computing and Cloud Division has a great opportunity for you. We re a major supplier of DC/DC converters and power management ICs working with all Tier 1 OEMs to power the next generation of low power mobile devices and higher power telecommunication and server products. As a POL Applications Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of new product development for these markets and provide technical engineering support for our team s FAEs and customers.Responsibilities:
    • Validate power management devices for a variety of end markets and applications.
    • Develop software for the validation of DC and AC parameters using automated bench test equipment, including post-data analysis.
    • Create customer collateral (EVB, user guide, and GUI).
    • Write technical documents (datasheets, validation plans, and application notes).
    • Collaborate with Definition, Design, Test, and Product Engineers through all phases of new product development, and Marketing Engineers (local and in-country) through new product release to mass market.
    • Provide technical engineering support for a portfolio of industry leading products.
    , *Key Qualifications:
    • Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline
    • 5+ years of experience working on power converters (i.e. switching and linear regulators) including customer and FAE technical support
    • Knowledge of programming in Python, experience using LabView and bench test equipment automation development
    • Practical experience using standard lab equipment such as power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, function generators, network analyzers, and electronic loads
    • Ability to interpret and document measurement results clearly and concisely
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
