Develop and maintain akamais industry-leading products that are integral part of globally distributed network that deliver content for major customers and eventsPartner with the bestAs a Technical Program Manager, work with our Edge Technology Group. Plan, communicate, execute, and deliver major projects, products, and solutions. Also work on products that will see deployment on Akamais Global Network and on the sites of the top media and entertainment companies in the worldAs a Program Manager II Technical, you will be responsible for:
• Collaborating across engineering teams, Program managers and other stakeholders
• Managing and facilitating engineering and release plans, execution and workflows.
• Creating and maintain project dashboards using JIRA/Confluence & other technical collaboration platforms
• Managing issues, risks and escalations. Also initiate, lead and participate to continuous improvements
• Guiding and coach Development Teams, Product Owners, and Stakeholders on Agile/Scrum practices. Guide and coach teams to continue to be self-organized
• Helping teams assess their Scrum Maturity and higher levels of maturity. Improve transparency within the team. Remove impediments
• Building a safe, trusting environment where conflicts can be managed in a healthy way without fear of blame
Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:
• Be experienced in managing engineering and/or networking projects successfully and influencing stakeholders across the teams
• Have proven knowledge of project management principles such as, Agile and project management best practices
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams:. engineering, release management, product management and leaders
• Demonstrate great communication and negotiation skills, be able to present to various stakeholders
• Have First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM). Good skills and knowledge of facilitation, continuous improvement, empowerment, transparency and leadership
• Have Knowledge of Agile methodologies Kanban, Scrum, etc. Knowledge of project management principles and the ability to apply them to software development
• Have Knowledge and experience with Agile practices Automated Testing, User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Testing, Pairing, Agile Games, etc.
