Account Manager - Career Opportunities Other Job Positions COMSOL is seeking an Account Manager to join its sales team in Burlington, MA. As part of our team, and in coordination with our technical experts, you will use interpersonal skills to help potential and existing customers understand how the COMSOL product line can address their needs and you will guide them to the proper purchase of our software products and services.This position calls for strong business, sales and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team- oriented sales force. We sell to many of the top engineering and scientific teams throughout the Eastern half of the US and Canada. These organizations range from start- ups to Fortune 500 companies to national labs to academic research teams and their activities cover a wide span of engineering disciplines. The successful candidate will be able to quickly grasp complex customer environments and requirements at such institutions, determine the viability of each opportunity, coordinate our response with COMSOLs technical experts, articulate a concise business case for how COMSOL can help the potential customer and close the deal. Primary responsibilities Expand sales of COMSOL Multiphysics software to engineers, managers, scientists, and academics in a specified geographic area Develop new and existing leads through phone calls, web- based meetings, presentations, email correspondence, etc Identify, prioritize, nurture and develop potential sales accounts Coordinate appropriate response from our technical experts to questions and requests from customers and prospects Schedule and arrange presentations by our technical experts of COMSOLs capabilities at public seminars and customer- site presentations Some travel required (~10%) on public seminars and customer visits where you will mingle with prospects and/ or existing customers and introduce our company and offerings, while the engineering part of the presentation will be given by a technical expert Requirements Bachelors degree or equivalent required, in business or engineering preferred 2- 5 years experience with business- to- business sales is required. Experience with the sale of software products is preferred Excellent time- management and prioritization skills are a must balancing multiple demands from many prospects Positive, competitive, outgoing personality. Business acumen. Must enjoy interacting directly with prospects and existing customers Excellent communications skills, in person, on the phone and in writing.
