Key Skills Required: Should have experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain management of a precision engineering/auto component industry. Preference will be given to those who have handled Machined components, Bought out - raw material Forging , round Commodities, Casting, Hands on experience in identifying, evaluating and developing vendors for machined components are a must. Knowledge of machining processes and other operations like milling, turning, grinding, burnishing, welding, plating, etc.is essential. Proven record in Costing and Negotiation. Excellent communication skills and high energy levels. Develop strategies for sourcing and supply chain Develop and manage a good supplier base; Experience in developing of Forgings, Steel Components including machining components Manage a team to deliver on day to day commitments Analytical ability to quickly reach the root-cause of a problem Knowledge of 6 Sigma methodologies SPC, PPAP desirable Initiate and Drive Value Engineering & Cost Reduction projects. Proactive and self-starting; seizes opportunities and acts upon them with enthusiasm and commitment. Seeks all possible relevant information for problem solving and decision making Key Accountabilities: Supplier selection, Supplier Evaluation and Supplier development Develop components at Suppliers ensuring QCDS. Cost Estimation, Price negotiation and finalization . Handling the complete supply chain from Order to Delivery. Defect analysis, Establish Root Cause, CAPA implementation in co-ordination with QC Engineers. Improves and maintain Delivery rating at Suppliers end. Achieve Cost reduction by Value Engineering, Evaluating Purchasing Efficiency, Productivity improvements at Supplier end etc. Qualification : BE Mechanical with 6 to 10yrs experience in auto components. Language preferred : Kannada, English, Hindi Must ,
