The Amazon IN third-party marketplace team is looking for a highly driven, customer-obsessed application engineer. You will be responsible for building web based applications/tools and configuring data platforms to help data engineering, reporting and analytical operations scale to meet data demands of a large stakeholder base. Its a big ask, and were excited to talk to those up to the challenge!Key Responsibilities: Build web based applications to handle data, build reports and derive analytics primarily helping BIE team Reactively and proactively developing and executing analyses that provide important insight into the business Designing and implementing self-service applications/tools that enable stakeholders to manage data and reports to make effective decisions Monitoring existing metrics and partnering with internal teams to identify process and system improvement opportunities, Bachelor s degree or higher in Computer science or IT Engineering, Mathematics or a related field 5 + years of relevant experience Knowledge of scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Perl, Ruby) Skilled in developing rich applications with HTML, CSS, JS Skilled in a server-language Java/Python/NodeJS Familiar with JS Frameworks like React, Angular, Vue are brownie points Communicate clearly and concisely both written and orally Strong insights on Oracle, Redshift, MS SQL server DBs/related DBs Track record delivering front-end software that is correct, stable, high performance, secure, and accessibility compliant. Basic knowledge of SQL, Data modeling and ETL Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new UI component and evaluate technical feasibility Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices
