Roles and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for developing new products, engineer the manufacturing process,bring in technical machining competence and apply strategy to drive operational growth in the organisation.Company manufactures parts for Hydraulics and Heavy Engineering sector, in an integrated plant using an innovative and high technology adapted manufacturing process. We plan to diversify into other grades of metal, other processes, engineering complexities in current and new sectors inherent to our growth plan.Senior Application EngineerJob descriptionoEstablishing raw material standards by studying manufacturing and engineering requirements; conferring with other departments and/or suppliers; devising testing methods and procedures.oEstablishing in-process product inspection standards by studying manufacturing methods; devising testing methods and procedures to meet requirements.oEstablishing standards for the disposition of finished product by devising evaluation tests, methods, and procedures.oEstablishing and enhancing product documentation system.oMaintaining product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures and government requirements.oContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.oDriving of IDEA management.oMethod Study, Time study.oEstimation and costing.oStandardization of Process.oPrepare Training Module work skill development.oProductivity Measurement Analysis and Improvement, design improvement.oPlant Capacity Planning & Capacity Calculation.oPlant Layout & Plant Material Handling system improvement.oKnowledge sharing of machining concepts like milling, turning, grinding, drillingoDesign of special cutting tools like PCD & Carbide reamer, Boring Bar, Milling Cutters, etc. including use, repair and maintenance.oAssembly and manufacturing of Tools and Jigs & Fixtures. Well versed with: 2D to 3D.MS Excel & PowerPoint.Modelling and detailed engineering concepts.Design methodologies for cutting tools, injection moulds, jigs and fixtures. CAD and CAM software and installation of CAM systems.Desired Candidate Profileo Technical expertise in the field of machining, machine tools and cutting tools.o Technical application of process engineering.o Decision making to achieve success towards goals.o Collaborative approach - working with teams and departments.o Technical writing and technical documentation.o Analytical and problem-solving ability.o Business aptitude.o Innovative thinking.o Excellent writing, communication and presentation skillso Collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs and manufacturing and training methods.o Establishing quality and reliability standards by studying product and consumer requirements with other members of management and with production operators, technicians, and engineers.you play a key role in regards to growth plan and the company development agenda. You will lead all activities corresponding to the Machining process and play a dynamic and functioning role of building the organisation. The role is responsible for engaging with customers directly and in correspondence with marketing to understand product requirements. Contribute actively during product development process and be responsible for decisions and execution of new product development activities. Lead development process for new product and business opportunities. Play an activerole in product development staffing by recruiting, orienting and training employees and further assess results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Engage and develop vendorsassociated with product development when necessary. Instruct, clarify and engage with other team members to solve problems when they arise and take decisions to successfully meet goals. Identify areas of opportunity and lead improvement projects to improve quality, productivity and profitability of the company.,
