Ensure all assigned mandatory trainings related to data integrity, health, and safety measures are completed on time by all members of the team including self Compliance to Syngene s quality standards at all times Hold self and their teams accountable for the achievement of safety goals Govern and Review safety metrics from time to timeCore Purpose of the Role: He/she should be able to lead and coordinate the development of mono-bi and tri-specific molecules using molecular biology tools.Role Accountabilities: Should be able to deliver the requirement of critical reagents and lead molecules for screening to functional and analytical teams adhering to project timelines.Leadership Capabilities: should be able to coordinate with external CROs for the generation of constructs, critical reagents. He/she should be able to interact in cross functional teams to carefully assess data and prepare to modify or change approach as and when required. Experience 2. Demonstrated Capability 3. EducationExperience: Lead and manage recombinant mono-, bi- or multi-specific antibody generation/optimization projects using high throughput techniques such as library design and construction (such as design of na ve libraries and screening), affinity maturation, and rational and rapid protein optimization techniques. Extensive experience with modern molecular biology techniques, including cloning, sequencing, recombination, construct design and optimization. Experience in generation of knock in/knock out cell lines is a plus. Characterize antibodies properties in various affinity and activity assays, like ELISA, iQue, FACS, Octet, epitope binning, reporter gene assays. Independently generate hypotheses, troubleshoot issues, design and execute experiments and proper documentation of the results in a detailed manner in lab notebook/ELN. Strategically advance scientific expertise, propose novel insights and implement resolutions to technical problems and project key challenges utilizing available tools and information. Support the development of project strategy and communicates complex data/decisions within department and cross functionally as necessary. Demonstrate leadership by advising and sharing knowledge and expert opinions with peers and senior management Contribute to research that leads to peer-reviewed publications, reports and internal/external presentations to project teams or conferences.Build and promote Bicara s value and culture, result oriented, work with can-do attitude, team player mentality, constantly inject positive energy into the working environment.Skills and Capabilities: Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills - Able to troubleshoot critical issues or problems and determine causes and possible solutions using appropriate information Teamwork Ability to work well in a highly cross-functional team environment Communication -Able to expresses one s self clearly and concisely within team; documents issues and/or concerns concisely with colleagues ; timely and effectively communicates issues to supervisor; technical writing skills to support internal technical documents and publications Organization Exercises good time management and prioritization skills and able to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously Knowledge Sharing - Ability to capture organizational knowledge; improve solutions, processes, and deliverables through use of informationEducation Ph.D. with 5+ years, M.S. with 8+ years of experience in a scientific discipline such as Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Protein Engineering Expertise in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, affinity and activity assays. Expertise in mammalian and bacterial protein production encompassing expression and purification. Experience in biochemical and biophysical protein characterization including SPR (Biacore and Octet). Demonstrated effectiveness in managing junior scientists. Experience in working effectively in matrix environment and collaboration with different functional areas is highly desirable. Must be able to thrive and deliver results on goals in a fast-paced, dynamic and highly multi-tasking environment.
