Job Description

  • Manage project plans for the onboarding of new clients into Financial Reporting.
  • Work with Accounting and Client Operations to ensure accuracy of conversion data and data needs of Financial Reporting teams.
  • Collaborate with Financial Reporting teams to manage the implementation of all standard practices, processes, tools, etc. and initiatives (ESP) and technology enhancements. Report results to senior management.
  • Assess operational effectiveness and make suggestions to streamline functions.
  • Responsible for the direction and training of junior staff (i.e. Arc training)
  • Partner with Strategy & Support to lead ArcReporting initiatives (builds, parallels, testing).
  • Coordinate meetings with Financial Reporting teams to discuss pain points, make suggestions for improvements and institute action plans.
  • Ensures proper documentation and training is rolled out to Financial Reporting teams upon implementation of a new build.
  • Conduct post-mortem meeting with Financial Reporting teams upon completion of first reporting cycle with new builds.
  • Researching and updating issues on existing builds in the ArcReporting application, submitted via internal inquiry management system.
Vendor management and communication on open support tickets, ensuring solution and closure within client expected timeframe.
  • Equivalent to a B.S. degree in Accounting, Business, or related field. CPA or MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in mutual funds accounting, compliance, auditing or related business activity.
  • Strong financial reporting, regulatory compliance and tax skills.
  • Ability to develop business relationships, both within and outside of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of SEC, IRS, and general ledger accounting requirements and laws as they apply to investment companies, Trusts, Partnerships and other fund structures services by GISG.
  • Strong problem resolution and analytical skills.
